This policy explains what information ATAIA Spa Club collects through this website, ataiaspaclub.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have a question about it, the last section tells you how to reach us.
Information you give us
We collect the information you choose to send us through the website.
- Inquiries and messages: your name, your email address, your phone number where the form asks for it, and your message. We also keep the internet (IP) address it was sent from, to limit misuse of the forms.
- Reservations, packages and memberships: the names of the guests, your email address and phone number, and the details of the visit or membership you choose.
- Payments: card payments are taken by our payment processor, Elavon (Converge). You enter your card details in their secure window; we never see or store your full card number.
- Our mailing list: if you join it, your email address goes to Mailchimp, the service that sends our newsletter.
Information collected automatically
Some information is collected automatically when you visit.
- Our web server records each request: your IP address, the page asked for, the date and time, and your browser type. We use these records to keep the site running and secure.
- Google Analytics shows us how the site is used: the pages you view, how long you stay, the kind of device and browser you use, and your approximate location based on your IP address. It uses cookies to tell one visit from the next.
- Google reCAPTCHA protects our forms from automated abuse. It collects information about your device and how you use the page, and sends it to Google for analysis.
- Our pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when your browser downloads them.
- Online booking keeps a cookie that holds the times you are booking, and your browser keeps a reservation in progress and your choice to pause motion on the site. This information stays on your device.
How we use your information
We use it to:
- Answer your inquiries and messages.
- Book, confirm and manage your reservations, packages and memberships, and send you the emails about them.
- Take payment for what you buy.
- Send our newsletter, if you asked for it.
- Understand how the site is used, and improve it.
- Protect the site, our guests and our business from fraud and misuse.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the site and the spa, and only for that work:
- Elavon (Converge), our payment processor.
- Google, for Google Analytics, reCAPTCHA and Google Fonts. How Google uses information from sites that use its services is explained at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- Mailchimp, for our mailing list.
- The companies that host our website and our email.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or when it is needed to protect our rights or the safety of our guests.
Cookies and your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. The site still works without them, except that online booking needs its cookie to hold your times.
To stop Google Analytics from measuring your visits to any website, you can install Google's opt-out add-on for your browser: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
The site does not change what it does when your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiries, reservations and payment records for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations, and then delete them. Google keeps Analytics data for the retention period we set in Google Analytics.
How we protect it
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and only the staff who need your information can see it. No way of sending or storing information is completely secure, but we work to protect yours.
Your choices and requests
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can leave our mailing list at any time with the link at the bottom of every newsletter. To make a request, contact us as described below; we may need to confirm who you are first.
Children
This website is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with its date. The changes apply from that date.
